Adam James Ferlanie, age 34, born in Dunedin, FL, lifetime resident of Pinellas County, unexpectedly passed away on September 23, 2014 from a work-related accident in Tampa.

Adam was born on August 2, 1980 at Mease Hospital Dunedin. He was the first-born child of the family and very proudly accepted his role as big brother, being both a strong protector and extreme teaser. Adam was 13 months apart in age from his sister Erin, 3 years older than his brother, Tim, and 12 years older than his little sister, Amber. As siblings, they loved each other very much, always joking with each other and causing mischief together. His family and friends will forever miss his strong hugs, his infectious smile, goofy laugh, and totally crazy antics. He was a huge part of his close-knit family.

Adam was recently married on April 26, 2014 at the Botanical Gardens in Largo to Monique Wright whom he met in 2008 and at the time was shy to confront, saying she was like an angel with an aura around her. She became the love of his life. They were two peas-in-a-pod and it was very obvious that they were made for each other. Adam also easily won the heart of his entire wife’s family, especially his mother-in-law, Molly Dailey-Taboada. Adam’s world revolved around his children and their happiness. Being a proud and involved father was Adam’s greatest pleasure in life, and he was made for the role. His three boys are spitting images of their daddy whom will remind us of our Adam forever. Adam loved his trade of welding, loved to barbeque on sunny Sundays, making the best barbecue chicken that most anyone ever tasted, loved to fish, both fresh and salt-water, especially with his brother Tim, and Dad, and most of all, loved to spend quality time with his family and friends at family gatherings, the beach, Busch Gardens, or pool-side. He also always enjoyed a good concert. He was a great mechanic and was always willing to help out family and friends for anything ever needed. Adam had a huge heart and he will now live on in all of our hearts and memories, forever. His smile and laugh we will never forget.

Adam leaves behind beautiful wife Monique Wright Ferlanie, sons Bradley, 12, Chase, 3, Dallas, 1, and unborn daughter, Danica Marie, due in January 2015.

Also left behind are parents Bill and Wendy Ferlanie of Clearwater, sister Erin Ferlanie Fort and her husband Joshua of Fort Myers, FL, brother Timothy of Clearwater, and sister Amber Ferlanie Boutwell and her husband Cameron Boutwell USMC, of Clearwater. One nephew, Jostin Fort, and three nieces, Erica, Emily, and Elissa Fort will also greatly miss their big, goofy Uncle Adam. Sister Sarah Beth, whom we believe he is now hugging, precedes Adam in death.

During this difficult time we are so thankful for the closeness that we, as a family, have always shared. We are relying on this, God’s comfort and guidance, and all of our and Adam’s dearest friends, for our strength to get through this tragedy.

We all LOVE you Adam. Rest in peace and see you one day to laugh with you again.
